During his first year in office, U.S. Senator Jon Husted emphasized efforts to deliver tangible results for Ohio residents. Reflecting on the past year, Husted stated, “When I took office, my goal was simple: deliver real results for Ohio families. I started on day one without staff, an office, a phone or even a pencil—but over the past year, my team and I have hit the ground running. From lowering costs and cutting red tape to returning millions of dollars to Ohioans, we’ve worked every day to make life better for the people we serve. I’m committed to continuing this work in the year ahead and look forward to what’s next.”
In 2025, Husted had three bills signed into law. He also supported the Working Families Tax Cuts Act, which became law in July. This budget legislation aims to reduce taxes for working families in Ohio and supports job creation and small businesses while addressing national defense and border security.
Husted secured funding specifically targeted at Ohio initiatives and helped obtain financial support for rural hospitals across the state.
Throughout the year, Husted maintained regular communication with constituents and focused on returning funds directly to Ohioans.
