Senator Jon Husted, U.S. Senator representing Ohio, highlighted the state’s agricultural and economic contributions in a series of posts on April 17, 2026.

In his first post of the day, Husted emphasized Ohio’s role in food production: “Ohio grows the food that America and the world consume. At Majors Farms in Monroe, I enjoyed spending time with agriculture leaders from our state to discuss how this industry can continue to lead.” (April 17, 2026)

Husted has served as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, Ohio secretary of state and lieutenant governor before joining the U.S. Senate (official website). He serves on Senate committees focusing on health, education, labor and pensions, small business and entrepreneurship, environment and public works, and aging (official website). His legislative priorities have included tax reductions and educational choice scholarships.
