Senator Jon Husted, a U.S. Senator from Ohio and former Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, highlighted Ohio’s small businesses and aerospace sector in a series of posts on May 4 and May 5, 2026.
On May 4, Husted noted the participation of local companies at a national event, stating, “Great to see Ohio small businesses represented today at the @WhiteHouse, including Humtown Products of Columbiana—recently named National Small Business of the Year.”
Later that evening, he underscored Ohio’s legacy in aviation and its economic impact. He wrote on May 4: “Ohio is the birthplace of aviation and a leader in the aerospace industry. Good to be with @OhioAerospace and other leaders of this sector in Ohio today, including @NASAGlenn, which contributes over $1.9 billion to Ohio’s economy.”
The following day, Husted turned his attention to tax policy affecting small businesses. On May 5 he posted: “The Working Families @TaxCuts delivers real wins for America’s small businesses.
Permanent 20% small businesses deduction
1.2 million new jobs this year
$7,000 tax cut to 12 million small business owners
Permanent full expensing for new investments and domestic”
