Senator Jon Husted has recently used his social media platform to highlight policy issues ranging from tax cuts to energy independence and public safety.
On April 18, 2026, Husted posted: “Ohioans have shared with me the meaningful, real-life benefits they’re seeing from the Working Families @TaxCuts.”
The following day, on April 19, 2026, he addressed concerns about national security in a tweet stating: “Americans’ safety shouldn’t be at risk for Democrats’ political games.”
On April 20, 2026, Husted reported on a visit to Zanesville with local industry leaders: “In Zanesville, I joined leaders from Ohio’s oil and gas industry who are focused on reducing reliance on foreign energy, expanding domestic supply, and cutting red tape that slows us down.”
Senator Husted represents Ohio in the U.S. Senate after serving as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, Ohio secretary of state and lieutenant governor (official website). He is involved in Senate committees related to health, education, labor and pensions, small business and entrepreneurship, environment and public works, and aging. During his earlier tenure as Speaker of the Ohio House of Representatives, he played a role in advancing tax reductions and educational choice scholarships. Husted earned both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Dayton. He resides in Columbus with his wife Tina; together they have three children and a granddaughter.
