Brooklyn home prices rise in December 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in December 2019 in Brooklyn rose by $48,000 while total sales increased by 28.6%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In December 2019, there were nine homes sold, with a median sale price of $128,000 - a 60% increase over the $80,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Brooklyn in December 2018.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,666, approximately 2.1% of the median home sale price for December 2019.
