Brooklyn home prices rise in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Brooklyn rose by $13,900 while total sales increased by 200%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were 21 homes sold, with a median sale price of $107,900 - a 14.8% increase over the $94,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were seven homes sold in Brooklyn in May 2018.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,666, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for May 2019.
