Brooklyn home prices rise in January 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2019 in Brooklyn rose by $650 while total sales increased by 8.3%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2019, there were 13 homes sold, with a median sale price of $83,200 - a 0.8% increase over the $82,550 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 12 homes sold in Brooklyn in January 2018.

The median sales tax in Brooklyn for the most recent year with available data, 2016, was $2,666, approximately 3.2% of the median home sale price for January 2019.
