37 percent of applicants to the Cleveland Institute of Music were admitted for fall 2018

At the Cleveland Institute of Music, 99 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 51 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Cleveland enrolled 402 students in fall 2018, including 231 in undergraduate and 171 in graduate programs, data shows. 5.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

13 percent of undergraduates are residents of Ohio, and 71 percent are residents of other states. 15 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (27 percent) and Asian (10 percent).

The school admitted 37 percent of the 504 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 34 percent enrolled.
