Saint Ignatius High School issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
This morning, the Saint Joseph of Arimathea Pallbearer Ministry held its Fall prayer service at Potter's Field, Cleveland's burial ground for the poor. More than 19,000 people are buried here in unmarked graves. Per city policy, nobody is allowed to attend burials when they happen.
Twice a year, the pallbearers visit Potter's Field to fulfill the Spiritual Work of Mercy of praying for the living and the dead. Thank you to senior Patrick Reali for offering words of reflection on the importance of this ministry, to Fr. Dan Reim, S.J. for leading the service, and to all who joined us in prayer today. #AMDG #MenForOthers
