On Monday the Great Midwest Athletic Conference announced the Softball Athlete of the Week.
Malone University senior April Howser earned the award after her performance last week in the Pioneers' contests at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic in Myrtle Beach.
Howser led Malone at the plate last week, hitting 11-for-17 (.647) with three doubles and five RBIs. She scored two runs and had four multi-hit games last week, including two games with three hits.
