The Cleveland Institute of Art will hold its commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 13, at 10am, at the Maltz Performing Arts Center (1885 Ansel Rd, Cleveland, OH 44106.) The ceremony will last approximately 2-2 1/2 hours.

For Case Western Reserve University current COVID policy, please visit case.edu/maltzcenter/COVIDprotocols.

Immediately following Commencement, please join us at Cleveland Institute of Art, 11610 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44106, for a reception in honor of our graduates and to view the exhibition We Want Everything in Reinberger gallery. A light luncheon will be served on the main floor and in the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Atrium.

CIA continues to require proof of COVID vaccination, health screening at the door, and mask wearing. However, for the Commencement reception, we will allow visitors who do not have proof of vaccination to join the festivities if they can meet one of the two following requirements:

  • provide a negative COVID test taken within the last 24 hours
  • produce a negative result for COVID when tested upon arrival at CIA
We understand that Commencement is a momentous occasion for your family and believe this temporary accommodation will allow everyone to safely celebrate together during the post-ceremony reception.

Limited parking at CIA will be available for guests. For CIA’s current COVID policy, please visit cia.edu/covid.

Please note that tickets are required for guests to attend the ceremony. Commencement announcements and ceremony tickets will be available near mid-April. Students will be notified when they can pick up from Registrar's Office.
