Next month, xLab at Case Western Reserve University will host the fourth annual Digital Futures Conference, featuring experts and thought leaders discussing all aspects of talent in technology, including culture change, building design capabilities, upskilling, promoting diversity, employee mental health and people analytics.
The conference, set to take place Oct. 11-13 at Case Western Reserve, expects to draw a large crowd of senior executives from Cleveland and beyond, all with backgrounds in technology and digital innovation. The theme this year is “Level Up Your Talent.”
“When we started planning this year’s conference, our corporate partners were loud and clear that one of their biggest challenges two years into the pandemic is recruiting and retaining high-quality people in technology,” said Youngjin Yoo, xLab founder and faculty director and the Elizabeth M. and William C. Treuhaft Professorship in Entrepreneurship at the Weatherhead School of Management. “We are excited to engage with everyone in person this year and create conversation and connections in the digital arena.”
This year’s speakers include:
- Katheryn Brohman, director of Master of Digital Product Management, associate professor and Distinguished Faculty Fellow in Digital Technology, Smith School of Business, Queen’s University, Canada;
- Marco Costa, chief executive officer, Americas Serviços Médicos, UnitedHealth Group Brasil;
- Rochelle Williams, chief programs officer, National Society of Black Engineers;
- and Farid Bichareh, Connected Plants Solutions director, TCS.
“One of the biggest benefits of the Digital Futures Conference is our ability to pull together unique perspectives and experience from top experts in both the academic and corporate worlds,” said Andrew Medvedev, co-Dean of the Weatherhead School of Management. “This conference is a great representation of the connections and innovations coming from Weatherhead and Case Western Reserve University. We’re proud to host experts and senior leaders in digital innovation from Cleveland and around the world at our university, and share in their collective knowledge and experience.”
The Digital Futures Conference is a partnership between xLab at Case Western Reserve and Innovation Research Interchange (IRI). The conference is held annually in October at Case Western Reserve. Speakers from around the world come together to discuss the latest advances in digital innovations and how they can be applied to businesses and organizations.
