Five members of the Case Western Reserve University cross country team competed at the Wooster Twilight 5K in Wooster, Ohio on Friday night.
Both the men's and women's 5K races were contested on the track John P. Papp Stadium at the College of Wooster, rather than a typical cross country course.
The women registered a pair of top-five finishers, with sophomore Mandy Lam placing fifth out of 27 runners with a time of 19:40.6, and sophomore Marquis Globokar finishing fifth in a time of 19:40.6.
In the men's race, junior Arjun Thillairajah finished second out of 37 runners with a time of 15:41.3, while first-year Nathan Webb was ninth with a mark of 16:22.5, and sophomore Victor Nash was 17th with a time of 16:50.0.
There was no team scoring at Friday's races.
The Spartans will now turn their attention to the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals, scheduled for next Saturday, November 12 at the West Ottawa Golf Club in Holland, Michigan.
