John Carroll Ranks 25th in Fall Division III LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup Standings | John Carroll University
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup Standings have been released following the completion of the fall season in Division III.
John Carroll ranks 25th in the country with 185.00 points. The Blue Streaks rank first amongst Ohio Athletic Conference schools and first amongst all Ohio schools.
The Blue Streaks enjoyed a banner fall. John Carroll Cross Country swept the OAC Championships before high finishes at the National Championships. The JCU Men's Cross Country squad repeated a fourth-place podium finish, recording 80 points. The JCU Women's Cross Country team tallied 19th place for 55 points in the rankings.
Meanwhile, JCU Men's Soccer punched a berth to the NCAA Tournament with a fifth straight OAC Tournament Championship. The Blue Streaks bowed out in the second round of the tourney.
Last season, the Blue Streaks finished 23rd in the race for the LEARFIELD Directors' Cup, which was the program's highest ever finish.
Through the fall, the top team in the standings is Johns Hopkins (500.50 total points). The winter standings will begin distribution on Thursday, March 30.
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
