The Golden Flashes set department records for fall term and cumulative grade-point average (GPA) in another record-setting semester in the classroom.

It is the 22nd consecutive term with a cumulative GPA of at least a 3.0, setting a record at 3.269. The fall also marks the 21st straight semester with a term GPA of 3.0 or higher, re-setting the bar at 3.226. The department also posted second-highest term GPA in history, trailing only the 2022 spring semester. 58 student-athletes, 12 percent of the department, posted a perfect 4.0, also a department record.

"I am proud and impressed by the work of our student-athletes in the classroom this fall," Director of Athletics Randale L. Richmond said. "This is a department-wide accomplishment, and a debt of gratitude is owed to our academic and support staffs for their continued efforts, our coaches for their leadership and support and the student-athletes for their diligence. This is another milestone in our mission to graduate student-athletes, boldly prepared for life after sport and winning championships."

Eight Golden Flash programs posted term and cumulative GPAs above a 3.4. Seven teams this semester set program records for team GPA. Over half (51 percent) of all student-athletes recorded a term GPA of 3.4 or higher while 73 percent of all student-athletes term GPA of 3.0 or higher.
