With the calendar turning to 2023, the spotlight turns to Indoor Track & Field.

On Friday morning, the Ohio Athletic Conference released its preseason coaches poll.

The Blue Streaks check in at second on both the men's and the women's sides.

John Carroll enjoyed a banner indoor track & field season a year ago. Records aplenty fell for the Blue Streaks, as Head Coach Kyle Basista steered John Carroll to second-place marks at the indoor conference championship meet.

But even more importantly, the Blue Streaks enjoyed plentiful success on a national level, setting the men's DMR NCAA Division III record in historic fashion and making noise at the NCAA D-III Championships. Alex Phillip, of course, continued his quest for history and becoming one of the best to ever do it in NCAA Division III. His journey certainly holds plenty more promise ahead.

The Blue Streaks are stocked with talent on both the men's and the women's sides this year. Besides returning a host of All-OAC and All-American returners, a bevy of fresh talent is eager to make their mark.
