Cleveland — The City of Cleveland invites residents to join an exciting exploration of the North Coast Master Plan at an upcoming panel discussion and open house. Hosted by Mayor Justin M. Bibb and the City’s Master Planning team, this event will share initial thoughts and sketches for the emerging North Coast Master Plan, which has been shaped by the community’s vision acquired through meetings, surveys, and interviews.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in a moderated discussion with a panel that will include Mayor Bibb and the planning team, gaining insight into the vision and direction of the plan. After this discussion, interactive exhibits will be available for participants to provide feedback on the preliminary plans and share additional ideas.

“We have a way to go and a lot more listening to do before this plan is settled,” said Mayor Bibb, “but it’s exciting to see these first ideas taking shape. We can see a bold vision for the North Coast, and it’s all inspired and guided by what we’ve heard from the community.”

The master plan exploration will take place on July 27, 2023, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Great Lakes Science Center, Second Floor, located at 601 Erieside Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44114. The panel will be from 3 to 4 p.m. followed by an open house and interactive discussion from 4 to 5 p.m. Space is limited, and light refreshments will be provided, so registration is required. The event is accessible by public transit and parking is suggested in the Great Lakes Science Center garage. Those interested should visit clevelandnorthcoast.com or call 216-664-2210.

Media is encouraged to attend. RSVP to Marie Zickefoose at mzickefoose@clevelandohio.gov to ensure space is designated.

This event is just the beginning of a series of opportunities for community involvement and throughout the summer the North Coast Lakefront project team will be at grocery stores, neighborhood festivals and parks to gather input citywide. The City of Cleveland is committed to seeking ongoing feedback and ideas from Clevelanders over the coming months, as the North Coast Master Plan continues to develop. Ideas are continuously collected online, at clevelandnorthcoast.com
