Bob Brown, NFL Hall of Famer, died June 16, 2023

Bob Brown, born December 8, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away on June 16, 2023. He was an NFL offensive lineman, known for his powerful play and leadership on the field. Brown played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Los Angeles Rams, and Oakland Raiders during his career. He was selected to six Pro Bowls and named to the NFL’s 1960s All-Decade Team. Brown was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2004. He grew up in Cleveland, where he started his football journey before moving on to play college football at the University of Nebraska. Brown’s impact on the game extended beyond his playing days, and his legacy in both the NFL and Cleveland remains significant. His death marks the loss of one of Cleveland’s most accomplished athletes in the sport.
