United States Attorney Rebecca C. Lutzko has announced the appointment of two Assistant United States Attorneys as District Election Officers for the Northern District of Ohio. Megan R. Miller and Ava R. Dustin will lead efforts to implement the Justice Department's Election Day Program during the upcoming general elections on November 5, 2024.
A jury has convicted two men for conspiring to inflate the prices of a low-value stock sold to investors. After a trial lasting over four weeks, Paul Spivak, 65, of Willoughby Hills, Ohio, and Charles Scott, 70, of Alexandria, Virginia, were found guilty of conspiracy to commit securities fraud. Spivak was also found guilty on two counts of wire fraud in the first stage of the trial and pled guilty to additional charges. Scott was found guilty in the second stage.
College tuition fees rose 6.5% in Cuyahoga County in the 2022-23 school year, according to the latest disclosure from the National Center for Education Statistics.

The program, titled “Safe Gun Storage Saves Lives,” is set to take place on September 19 from 6-7:30 p.m. at the Richmond Heights Community Center in Richmond Heights, Ohio.
